Weekly Contra Dance Schedule
 

Our weekly contra dances every Monday of the month unless otherwise indicated.
Please join us for an evening of music, dancing, community,  and joy!

MAIN LOCATION
Weekly dances will be held at Mecklenburg Shrine Club
5200 Mecklenburg Shrine Club Road, Charlotte, NC 28215
 

Come before the lesson to help us setup! 6:45-7 PM
Beginner Lesson: 7-7:30PM
Dance Time: 7:30- 10 PM
Help us reset the room: 10:00-10:15 PM

Due to higher costs, we are moving to a sliding scale (voluntary) admission
Live music will now be $12-15 per person
Recorded music will now be $8-12 per person

Students $5
Children under 12 free.

Newcomers are welcome and you don’t need a partner!

 

Schedule
August 31 - FREE DANCE - Special Advanced Contra Dance and Waltz Night (Recorded music) -  We'll try some challenging contras from 7:30 - 9:30 and finish with 30 minutes of open waltz. No beginner lesson for this dance.

Sept. 28 - The Ed Woo Band with Dean Snipes
